Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation

The mission of the Hawai`i LGBT Legacy Foundation is to support, empower, educate, unify, and facilitate LGBT organizations and individuals in Hawaii.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA)

Planned Parenthood believes in the fundamental right of each individual, throughout the world, to manage his or her fertility, regardless of the individual's income, marital status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or residence. We believe that respect and value for diversity in all aspects of our organization are essential to our well-being. We believe that reproductive self-determination must be voluntary and preserve the individual's right to privacy. We further believe that such self-determination will contribute to an enhancement of the quality of life, strong family relationships, and population stability. Based on these beliefs, and reflecting the diverse communities within which we operate, the mission of Planned Parenthood is: to provide comprehensive reproductive and complementary health care services in settings which preserve and protect the essential privacy and rights of each individual; to advocate public policies which guarantee these rights and ensure access to such services; to provide educational programs which enhance understanding of individual and societal implications of human sexuality; to promote research and the advancement of technology in reproductive health care and encourage understanding of their inherent bioethical, behavioral, and social implications.

The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project's mission is to end suicide among gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people. We are the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people. The organization works to save young lives by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs on platforms where young people spend their time: our 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, text and soon-to-come integrations with social media platforms. We also run TrevorSpace, the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth, and operate innovative education, research, and advocacy programs.

It Gets Better Project

The It Gets Better Project exists to uplift, empower and connect LGBTQ+ youth around the globe.

The Center for Sexuality & Gender Diversity

The Center for Sexuality & Gender Diversity is an easy-access hub providing a safe, supportive space and services to LGBTQ+ adults and teens. The Center seeks to improve the well-being of all LGBTQ+ persons by providing a positive environment and a place to find help, as well as social and cultural programs and activities to enhance their quality of life. The Center seeks to strengthen the connection between the LGBTQ+ community and the entire Kern County area community through diversity education programs designed to foster a greater understanding of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression issues. We seek to empower LGBTQ+ persons to celebrate and be proud of whom they are and to live full rewarding lives as productive and contributing members of society.

Human Rights Campaign Foundation

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation improves the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people by working to increase understanding and encourage the adoption of LGBTQ-inclusive policies and practices. We build support for LGBTQ people among families and friends, co-workers and employers, pastors and parishioners, doctors and teachers, neighbors, and the public. Through the following programs and projects, we are enhancing the lived experiences of LGBTQ people and their families, as we change hearts and minds across America and around the globe.

PFLAG National

Vision: PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Mission: Our mission is to build on a foundation of loving families, united with LGBTQ people and allies, who support one another, as well as educate ourselves and our communities to speak up as advocates until all hearts and minds respect, value and affirm LGBTQ people.

Los Angeles LGBT Center

The Los Angeles LGBT Center is building a world where LGBT people thrive as healthy, equal and complete members of society. Since 1969 we have cared for, championed, and celebrated LGBT individuals and families in Los Angeles and beyond. Today the Center's nearly 800 employees provide services for more LGBT people than any other organization in the world, offering programs, services, and global advocacy that span four broad categories: Health, Social Services and Housing, Culture and Education, Leadership and Advocacy.

National Center for Transgender Equality

The National Center for Transgender Equality advocates to change policies and society to increase understanding and acceptance of transgender people. In the nation’s capital and throughout the country, NCTE works to replace disrespect, discrimination, and violence with empathy, opportunity, and justice.

Point Foundation

Point Foundation empowers promising LGBTQ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential – despite the obstacles often put before them – to make a significant impact on society.

Family Equality Council

Family Equality Council’s mission is to advance legal and lived equality for LGBTQ families, and for those who wish to form them, through building community, changing hearts and minds, and driving policy change.

Ali Forney Center

The Mission of the Ali Forney Center is to help homeless Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning youth be safe and become independent as they move from adolescence to adulthood. Too many of these youth are rejected by their families and the broader community and are thus forced to survive on the streets, facing the dangers of violence, HIV infection and homophobia. The Ali Forney Center is committed to providing homeless LGBT&Q youth with the services they need to thrive, including shelter, HIV Prevention and life skills training.

Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network

At GLSEN, we want every student, in every school, to be valued and treated with respect, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. We believe that all students deserve a safe and inclusive school environment where they can learn and grow. We accomplish our goals by working in hallways across the country -- from Congress and the Department of Education to schools and district offices in your community -- to improve school climate and champion LGBT issues in K-12 education. Every day GLSEN works to ensure that LGBTQ students are able to learn and grow in a school environment free from bullying and harassment. Together, we can transform our nation’s K-12 schools into the safe and affirming environment all youth deserve.

Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc.

Founded in 1973, Lambda Legal is a national organization committed to achieving the full recognition of the civil rights of LGBTQ people, and all persons living with HIV through impact litigation, public education, and policy work. We successfully use strategic and collaborative advocacy to press for passage of laws that prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or HIV status and to defeat efforts to repeal or weaken such civil rights protections.
